Buying a superbike in India that too under tight budget can be pretty difficult, but I’m going to help you out in this process, because superbikes and convertible cars have become my latest passion, and for the past few weeks I’ve been busy researching a good superbike at the least possible price!
Of course, I’m not talking about Rs100,000-200,000 range, as you won’t get anything good in that range… But then I’m not talking about Suzuki Hayabusa, Honda RR10, Ducati Desmosedici RR or a Yamaha YZF R1 that cost you more than 10-12lakhs, and are rather just a dream machine for most Indians!
When you see the 3-5lakhs bracket, Kawasaki ZX12R Ninja makes a great pick at around Rs 450,000, and that’s what is perhaps going to be next on my dream-list, but then there’s new Ducati Monster 796 that gives lot more power-punch with 800cc engine, which is almost double of the Ninja ZX12R, though it costs around 8alkhs, which is again double the price too!
It totally depends upon what kinda’ looks your really like – Harley Davidson bikes look more like the Royal Enfield models, and they’re not my cup of tea… So, folks who’re mesmerized by the looks of Hayabusa are most likely going to be benefited from this superbike buying guide, especially if they’re not looking at anything above 5lakh range.
If you think you can’t afford a superbike at the moment, you may also want to consider one of the best dirt bikes – but let me tell you that you won’t be able to use them extensively on Indian roads, and it’d be quite tedious to order one too!
If money isn’t your concern then here are the best superbikes in India, and you may also want to order a Benelli Tornado 1130 rather than looking at the good-old Yamaha R1 or Suzuki Hayabusa.
